Activists shut down power station by protesting on top of chimney

Activists have shut down Didcot Power Station by climbing on top of the chimney. This power station is being targeted because they want to build new coal stations.
Here is a video of the protesters on top of the power station chimney.

What do you think about this? Is it going to help us into a greener future or is it going to shut down our power stations and restrict us from progress?

It is easy to see how direct action such as this can be seen as extreme and it isn't as though the public are unaware of climate change. What most UK citizens aren't aware of is their government's plan to build new coal burning power stations and their efforts to keep the current coal-plants operational.
Movements such as Greenpeace serve an important democratic function by forcing politicians and the media to take notice of their cause and also informing the public.
